January is almost over and we are full force looking forward to many things!
The math lives of fourth graders has been filled with fractions, fractions, fractions! We have worked on equivalent fractions, fractions in simplest form, comparing fractions, decomposing fractions, and putting them on number lines. Next week, we will dive head first into adding and subtracting fractions and mixed numbers.
Science has been so fun learning all about the Earth's surface. Transitioning from weathering, erosion, and deposition into SOIL! The students are loving testing the soil samples to figure out what kind of soil they have found!
A few dates to note that are coming up:
-2/7 Shakespeare performance for 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders
-2/17 Friendship Parties
-2-/20 School Holiday
-2/27 Book Fair Week
